MRI Quench Pipes

Our Specialist team at Datum are well versed with the engineering complexities on the MRI Quench Pipe system, created specifically to deal with helium discharge. Mostly commonly used in MRI suites within medical facilities, they require expert knowledge in design and installation.

It is imperative to ensure that, in the event of the scanner quenching, all the liquid helium (used to cool the machine and which can transform to rapidly expanding gas) is quickly and safely dispersed away from the building along a large diameter vent pipe.

Our bespoke quench designs and calculations ensure that both the manufacturers and hospital’s compliance stipulations are met, we are constantly using new innovations in the MRI sphere, and are aligned with all major manufacturer’s products and quench safety requirements.
